Pricing & Services

How much does a code review cost?

Code reviews are $200 flat. You get a thorough review of your PR or codebase section with security, performance, and maintainability feedback. Turnaround is 24-48 hours.

How much do bug fixes cost?

Bug fixes range from $300-500 depending on complexity. This includes investigation, root cause analysis, the fix itself with tests, and documentation. Turnaround is 1-3 days.

How much does a small feature cost?

Small features range from $500-1,000. This covers implementation of a well-defined feature with clean code, tests, and documentation. Turnaround is 3-7 days.

What about larger projects?

For multi-week engagements involving architecture and ongoing implementation, pricing is custom. Let's scope it together—I'll provide a detailed quote after understanding your needs.

Do you offer discounts for ongoing work?

For clients with regular ongoing work, I offer retainer arrangements with preferential rates and guaranteed availability. Let's discuss what makes sense for your needs.

Process & Communication

How does the process work?

Simple: (1) Reach out with what you need. (2) I respond within 24 hours with questions or a fixed quote. (3) Once we agree, I start immediately with daily progress updates. (4) You get clean code, tests, and documentation—PR ready to merge.

How do you communicate during projects?

Daily async updates via your preferred channel (Slack, email, Discord). I'll flag blockers immediately rather than waiting. You'll always know where things stand.

What are typical turnaround times?

Code reviews: 24-48 hours. Bug fixes: 1-3 days. Small features: 3-7 days. Larger projects: we scope timeline together. I give realistic estimates and hit them.

How do you handle revisions?

Revisions within the original scope are included—if something doesn't match what we agreed on, I'll fix it at no extra cost. Changes outside scope get quoted before I proceed.

What if the project scope changes?

It happens! When scope changes mid-project, I'll flag it immediately and provide a revised quote. No surprises—we agree on new terms before I continue.

Tech Stack

What languages do you work with?

TypeScript, Python, Go, and Rust are my primary languages. I also work with JavaScript, and I learn fast if your stack requires something different.

What frameworks and tools?

Node.js, React, Next.js, Astro for web. CLI tools, APIs, automation scripts. I'm comfortable across the full stack.

Do you do DevOps work?

Yes—CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi), Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and general automation. I can set up or improve your deployment pipeline.

What if my tech stack is different?

I learn fast. If you're using something I haven't worked with extensively, I'll be upfront about it. For most mainstream technologies, I can get up to speed quickly.

Availability

What's your current availability?

I'm currently accepting new projects. Most small tasks (code reviews, bug fixes) I can start within 24-48 hours. For larger projects, I'll give you a realistic start date when we scope the work.

What time zone are you in?

I'm based in EST (Eastern Time). I typically work 9am-6pm but am flexible for async communication across time zones.

How quickly do you respond?

Initial inquiries: within 24 hours. During active projects: same-day responses, often within a few hours. I pride myself on not disappearing.

Payment

What's the payment process?

For projects under $1,000: payment upfront. For larger projects: 50% upfront, 50% on delivery. Invoices include detailed breakdowns of work completed.

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer (ACH/wire), PayPal, and crypto (BTC, ETH). International clients: PayPal or crypto usually works best to avoid wire fees.

Do you offer refunds?

If I can't deliver what we agreed on, you get your money back. Simple as that. I've never had to issue a refund because I'm careful about what I commit to.
